Investec currently stands as the largest real estate management company in Santa Barbara, with more than $1 billion of California real estate purchased and sold throughout its 33-year history. In his role as president, Kenny Slaught provides leadership at all levels of the company, overseeing a team of 40 employees and a real estate portfolio with $750 million in current assets.

Mr. Slaught has acquired and sold commercial and residential properties throughout coastal California, ranging from San Diego and Los Angeles counties in the south to Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo counties in the north. He has organized 25 approvals for individual housing developments, upon which he has constructed and sold more than 1,000 residential housing units.

After graduating from the University of California, Santa Barbara (UCSB), with a degree in business and economics, Kenneth Slaught received his California Real Estate Broker’s license and began acquiring real estate in Santa Barbara. A member of the Institute of Real Estate Management and the California Association of Realtors, he participates in local business organizations such as the Downtown Organization of Santa Barbara and the Better Business Bureau of the Tri-Counties.

In the sector, Kenneth Slaught has spent nearly 30 years on the board of Storyteller Children’s Center, a Santa Barbara nonprofit organization providing early childhood education and family services to children who are homeless or otherwise at risk. He is a longtime supporter of the Dream Foundation, which helps fulfill end-of- life wishes for adults with terminal illnesses.
